Twas a sad day today as I had to take Jock the cat to the vet as he'd lost a lot of weight over the last week or two and turns out he had bowel cancer and the vet said there was nothing that could be done and it was kinder to put him to sleep.
He was a good age for a cat - we got him and his brother, Paddy, when they were kittens fifteen years ago and Jock was always the shy one. He was a quiet soul and liked his peace and his routine and he looked with disdain if anyone called him Jock McSprock!
As Skein Princess says, it won't be the same life without him.

I'm so sorry to hear about Jock. All of us who have shared the love of pets in our lives can relate to the pain. Clearly Jock had a good life with someone who cared deeply for him. Thinking of you.

I am so sorry about your cat. I have one as well and I don't know what I'll do when the time comes......
Oh so sorry, Gracie, one of our girls has been missing for a week. Our cats are so precious.
