Ugly Easter sock

I'm ashamed to say that I managed to turn this beautiful skein of Socks That Rock Lemongrass

Into the ugliest sock I ever made.
So ugly, it will remain an orphan as I don't feel inclined to make a second one.
Beautiful yarn + gorgeous pattern = ugly sock. Sometimes the chemistry just isn't there. But I'll certainly be using the Embossed Leaves by Mona Schmidt pattern again - it was lovely to knit - but maybe with a different yarn the next time.

I don't think that's ugly at all. I would wear that :D

I feel sorry that you have put in all that effort and now don't like it. Anyway move on to the next nice project !

I've done that pattern too but got a bit bored with it (too complicated for my little brain). I rather like the way yours has turned out but that may just be my odd sartorial taste! I really like the odd way some yarn pools. It is a shame you dont like it when you've put in such a lot of effort.

It's not so bad, and you're a dyer, remember. Knit the other one and then over-dye them!

D'you know, freshisle, that's not a bad idea. Why didn't I think of that?!

What do you not like about it? colour? the way it knits up? I've got the exact same yarn and I knitted up one of my 'Braided Cables' socks. It did pool but I think STR always does. But I liked the socks. Just never gotten around to knitting the 2nd one. May take it on my next holiday to finish it.
